What to Expect

Experience the best Kudu hunting you'll ever find yourself doing, in the mountains of the Eastern Cape, along with many other plains game species that make the valleys, mountains and open plains of the Eastern Cape and Free State their home.

Gear & Equipment

March - May you can expect warm days that will require short pants or thin breathable long pants. Evenings will cool down in May. June - September long pants and warm tops/fleeces/jackets will be necessary as nights and early mornings are around freezing point. October - short/light long pants for the days with cool evenings.

Weapon Details

If bringing your own rifle with for you safari is what you'd prefer, then calibers like 270, 7mm Rem Mag, 30-06, 300 Win Mag are ideal cartridges.

If you'd prefer to hire a rifle from us, all the Guides are equipped with either of the above calibers.

Pricing Details

Daily rate & Trophy fees to be paid from price list.

Weather is one factor you cannot predict or control when booking a trip a year in advance. If possible I always recommend hunters book

Terms & Conditions

A 50% deposit of the daily rate is required to secure your booking. The remaining 50% is due before the start of your trip. Daily rates are priced per night.

Postponed hunts will be charged at the pricing for the following year.

Hunts cancelled 60 days or less will forfeit their deposit.

Camp/Accommodations

We have 4 base camps. Our main lodge in the Eastern Cape is situated in the mountains where most of our hunting is done and is 2 hours from the East London airport. If Bushbuck is on the list we shift lodges for a few days either at the beginning of the hunt or at the end. Our high altitude accommodation is a 3,5 hours drive from our main lodge. This lodge is used if the hunter has added a Vaal Rhebuck to his list which is a speciality specie. We also have a lodge in the Free State province which has an airport close by. It is also a 3,5 hour drive from our main lodge.

Physical Requirements

The mountains of the Eastern Cape generally require a person to be in fair to good shape. I do recommend some cardio training for at least two months before the trip. Being able to shoot off shooting sticks is a MUST!

Permit & Tag Application Process

Hunting licenses and TOPS permits are included in the price unless specified differently.
